All our pine flooring is manufactured with tongue and groove edging for quick and easy installation. Tongue and groove helps to line floorboards up when laying your flooring and prevents draughts due to the snug fit. As the boards are interconnected, it also strengthens the finished flooring.

Solid wood flooring is a high quality and versatile flooring solution. In contrast to engineered flooring, which only has a very thin, surface layer of your chosen timber (the rest being plywood), solid pine floorboards can be sanded down and refinished many times, allowing you to erase scratches and dents, or completely change your aesthetic with different stains and finishes. This is particularly useful in high-traffic areas, such as hallways, where solid pine floorboards really shine as a refreshable flooring solution!

Our pine flooring is available as either standard flooring (approx. 5.5” wide) or strip flooring (3.5” wide). Standard size floorboards are most popular, lending a traditional look to pine flooring, while strip flooring consists of thinner floorboards which offer an equally attractive but alternative aesthetic for pine flooring.

Made from slow-grown, resinous timber, our douglas fir pine flooring is a highly durable flooring solution, with an interesting grain pattern and traditional warm tones. It is lightweight but strong, and offers greater stability than oak flooring.

There are many grades of pine, each varying in quality and stability. Both our prime and standard redwood pine floorboards are made timber cut from the edges of logs, known as sideboards, as opposed to from the centre, known as heartboards, meaning they are the most resistant to cupping and warping. Our prime redwood pine floorboards are made from top grade pine, which has fewer and smaller knots than the standard pine, for a cleaner finish.

Our standard redwood pine floorboards are a cheaper alternative to our prime redwood pine flooring. They are still a high grade, made from stable sideboards as opposed to heartwood, but they have more and slightly larger knots.

All the pine flooring we sell is made in Yorkshire from premium redwood and douglas fir pine. We believe in supporting local businesses wherever possible and feel our pine flooring benefits from the quality of British manufacturing.
