Our kiln-dried Scandinavian redwood pine floorboards are made from prime-grade sideboards, offering a strong, attractive and affordable solid wood flooring option. This page allows you to select from three popular widths so you can match the look and proportion that best suits your rooms.

These are the same high-quality boards available on our individual width listings – here you simply choose the size you need in one place.

  • 137mm (approx. 5.5") – our most popular mid-width option
  • 162mm (approx. 6.5") – a wider board for a more contemporary feel

Why Sideboards Matter

We manufacture these boards from sideboards rather than heartwood. Sideboards are denser and significantly more stable, which helps reduce cupping and movement once the floor is laid. Most cheaper pine flooring is cut from the less stable centre of the log – ours is deliberately selected for better long-term performance.

Scandinavian redwood (also known as Scots pine, Nordic pine or Baltic redwood) is sourced from Northern Europe. It is strong, takes stains and oils well, and offers excellent value compared with hardwood flooring.

Reclaimed pitch pine used to make wooden flooring

Why redwood pine?

Scandinavian redwood, also known as Scots pine, is a very affordable solid wood flooring option. It has a lovely grain pattern and, as a lighter-coloured wood, it’s highly versatile, taking a wide variety of stain colours.

Alternatively, if you’re planning on painting your flooring or laying it as a subfloor, redwood pine floorboards are a cost-effective solution.

Machine used for tongue and groove flooring

Tongue & groove or straight edge?

A tongue and groove edging helps to line floorboards up when laying your flooring and prevents draughts due to the snug fit. As the boards are interconnected, it also strengthens the finished flooring.

Straight edge floorboards are a little quicker to install and can be retrofitted more easily than tongue and groove flooring.
