Prime Scandinavian Redwood Pine Flooring
- Our pine flooring is made from unsorted Redwood pine sideboards which are the top grade of pine. The side boards are more stable than the heartwood boards which makes our pine flooring a better choice for reduced cupping or movement in your finished pine floorboards.
- We source our pine from one of the largest softwood timber importers in the UK.
- Scandinavian Redwood Pine is a great affordable choice for your solid wood flooring project. Using a sideboard is denser and more stable than the heartwood, which most suppliers use.
Redwood Pine is mainly imported from Sweden, Norway and Finland. Knots are common in the timber, but their size and quality vary depending on where the boards have been cut from. This is very important when selecting boards for use as pine flooring
Redwood Pine Timber can be used for many joinery type not only pine flooring but also Interior or exterior Pine Cladding, Skirting, Architrave, Furniture etc.
Scandinavian Redwood also known as Scots Pine, Scots Fir, Finish Redwood, Norway Pine, Scandinavian Pine and Baltic Redwood.
- Strength: Scandinavian pine is solid and strong, and can last a log time if properly looked after. It looks lovely when used for pine flooring and is a more affordable option than going for hardwood flooring.
- Sustainable: Redwood pine is a sustainable wood that comes from responsibly managed forests.
- Resilience: Pine is resistant to insects, fungus making it ideal for pine flooring.
- Knots: Scandinavian pine has distinctive, large, brown-tinted knots that are crown-shaped.
- Resin: Redwood Pine has resin that protects the wood and gives it a distinctive aroma. Planing the wood smooths out the resin into a silky texture which can be felt on our pine flooring.
- Growing Conditions: The quality of Scandinavian Pine is affected by the conditions in which it grows. Colder environments mean it grows slower and denser. Perfect for making pine floorboards with.

Why redwood pine?
Scandinavian redwood, also known as Scots pine, is a very affordable solid wood flooring option. It has a lovely grain pattern and, as a lighter-coloured wood, it’s highly versatile, taking a wide variety of stain colours.
Alternatively, if you’re planning on painting your flooring or laying it as a subfloor, redwood pine floorboards are a cost-effective solution.

Tongue & groove or straight edge?
A tongue and groove edging helps to line floorboards up when laying your flooring and prevents draughts due to the snug fit. As the boards are interconnected, it also strengthens the finished flooring.
Straight edge floorboards are a little quicker to install and can be retrofitted more easily than tongue and groove flooring.
