Old Face Reclaimed Redwood Pine Flooring

These reclaimed redwood pine floorboards keep their original “old face” – the top surface is only lightly hand-sanded so the natural patina, grain and marks from the timber’s previous life remain visible. The result is a floor with authentic character that feels genuinely aged and full of history.

Why Choose Old Face Reclaimed Redwood Pine?

Reclaimed redwood pine comes from slow-grown timber salvaged from old buildings. It is denser and more hardwearing than modern pine, with a tighter grain and deeper, more complex colouring. By leaving the original face largely intact, these boards keep the weathered texture and authentic look that many period properties and characterful homes demand.

This range is particularly well suited to matching or replacing original Victorian and Edwardian pine floors, or for anyone who wants a solid wood floor with real age and personality rather than a clean, new appearance.

Reclaimed pitch pine used to make wooden flooring

Why reclaimed pine?

We make our reclaimed pine flooring from beams and timbers salvaged from old buildings. This older timber was grown more slowly than modern wood, resulting in tight-grained pine floorboards which are more hardwearing and long-lasting.

Reclaimed pine floorboards are ideal for period properties, particularly if you’re trying to match or replace Victorian pine floorboards or Edwardian pine flooring. It’s full of character, with knots, nail holes and cracks, in-keeping with older houses requiring a more traditional look.

Our reclaimed pine flooring also boasts a beautiful mix of colours - pinks, greys and yellows!

Machine used for tongue and groove flooring

Tongue & groove or straight edge?

A tongue and groove edging helps to line floorboards up when laying your flooring and prevents draughts due to the snug fit. As the boards are interconnected, it also strengthens the finished flooring.

Straight edge floorboards are a little quicker to install and can be retrofitted more easily than tongue and groove flooring.
