Here are some pictures of the latest pitch pine beam order we have been working on.
Lovely 7x9” by 2.3m beam denailed and planed on all 4 sides. There is a lot of work involved in removing metal from the beams. This is the most time consuming part of processing pitch pine beams.
All our beams go through our 20” wide thicknesser to clean up the faces. It removes any paint or dirt from the pitch pine beams. 9” is the deepest our thicknesser will plane so this pitch pine beam only just fit!
We built a custom size pallet to house the beam as it was being sent down to our customer with a courier. This makes it easier to unload on site and keeps the pitch pine beams safe during transit.
The customer also needed a few pieces of pitch pine flooring which we included onto of the beam for them. You can buy pitch pine flooring from our website in either tongue and groove or straight edge.
